Partnership Focus Areas
The Partnership Focus Areas courses were developed at the request of our MWPERLC partners at the Colorado and Utah State Departments of Health. They are adaptations of courses designed for the wider public health audience involved in emergency preparedness and response. The adaptations primarily involved editing the original courses to align with current (as of 2014) federal standards and include examples, case studies, statutes, and policies specific to Colorado and Utah. All the information contained in the courses, however, is relevant to public health professionals working in other states in the Mountain West region and can serve as a comparison on how different states incorporate public health into their emergency preparedness programs.
