Ellingson, PhD, investigated the transmission of multidrug-resistant organisms
in healthcare settings, evaluated initiatives to prevent healthcare-associated
infections, and built capacity for infection prevention in resource-limited
setting as a healthcare epidemiologist at the CDC and the Oregon State Health
Department.
