Learning Objectives

By the end of this training learners will be able to:

    • Describe the historical context of healthcare and reproductive issues among individuals with disabilities. 

    • Utilize Supported Decision Making as appropriate with patients with disabilities.

    • Identify the barriers and challenges that individuals with disabilities encounter while seeking healthcare related to pregnancy and parenting.

    • Recognize existing resources for healthcare providers and for the disability community.
